COM 341: Technical Writing
Instructor: George J. Wilkerson, Ph.D.

Welcome to Technical Writing! This is an introductory course and a good place to start if you are interested in a career with a lot of growth and income potential. The focus of the course is not necessarily on a career as a technical writer, rather on the kinds of writing skills you need in any technically oriented professional job. No matter what sort of professional work you do, you're likely to do a lot of writing and much of it is technical. So the more you know about basic technical-writing skills, which are covered in this course, the better writer you'l be. And that isn't just good for you, but it's also good for the projects you work on and for the organization you work for.

Some of the areas covered in this course are:

  • Memos & E-mails
